Senses is a brand new party running from now until Mid June easing you through the spring months and billed as “sexy and chic”, from the sneak video clip below it doesn’t disappoint.

After years of successful of character and super exclusive event management in Ibiza and other world hot spots, the team of “Sexy n Chic exclusive events” are organizing for this spring a trip through the five senses at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel. On Saturday afternoons, Senses will transport you to a world in which the taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing are the top players at a true Ibiza style party.

Dj’s like Marc Antona, Neverdogs, Iban Mendoza, Julian Perez, Cristian Viviano, Jean Cedric, Ivan Escura, Marysol Maior, Luca Serra, Paola Poletto, Francisco Allende, Luis Groove, Jp Chronic, Federico Grazzini, among other guests and a lot of surprises will gather every Saturday afternoon in the area nearest to the Beach Club with the usual and selected atendees at Sexy n Chic events.

Day 4 of our 5 days of 5 lists, and the last day before the big Super Vision future music festival, crashes down into Proud2, O2, London,  what better time then to catch up with Ben Prince.

Ben is a Dj & producer and one of the guys behind Super Vision and the sub tracked parties. We caught up with Ben to talk about his motivation behind the event, the best gigs he has played this year and some inside info on future tracks & releases

DFL: So Ben Super Vision looks set to be an amazing night/ experience and with some of the dance musics biggest stars lined up tell us what was the motivation behind putting a night like this on?

Ben Prince: Basically.. we wanted to create an event that had big room djs that you dont see every weekend in London. We see other clubs bringing the same djs in all the time so we looked hard, thought hard and came up with an array of djs that fitted that bill.. EDX, Tocadisco, Arno Cost, Tristan Garner, Kim Fai, Kryder and more… Im a little biased but for me this is one of my favorite line ups ive seen and since we have been in contact regularly with these djs, their recent mixes and releases will definitely bring a night that will be remembered for sometime

my top 5 events have been:

1. DJ Mag awards at ministry of sound

2. Whitehouse in clapham where the club was meant to shut at 3.30 but kept it open till 5.30 haha

3. Supporting carl cox at Electric Brixton

4. Supporting hardwell and ant brooks at ministry of sound

DFL: That is an impressive CV of events right there, there must have been some memorable times on your path, what has been you best moment to date?

Ben Prince: Best moment ever… either taking over from Mark knight and Micheal woods at cafe del mar ibiza for Toolroom’s pre party or playing space terrace main slot!

DFL: Well you cant really beat that a landmark in any DJ’s career, so summer is creeping round the corner, what top tip for summer anthem contender can you give us?
Ben Prince: Top tunes for summer, id ay anything house or deep.. Maceo Plex is really killing it at the moment, 1. string thing – shadow child is a big Tune at the moment and i cant see this fading away anytime soon.

DFL: Thats an absolute beast of a tune! So being a DJ and a producer you must have some secret weapons in the pipeline.. what can you tell us about any future releases we can look forward to hearing?

Ben Prince: Umeks weekly podcast.. Last week my track Kumara was voted track of the week by him. Its being released in two weeks on bootleg social records.

This week is flying! day 3 of our 5days of 5 lists.

For Todays top 5 list we have caught up with Kelsy Caira, owner of The Gentlemans Wardrobe, an online menswear boutique tailored to the needs of the 21st century Gentleman.
We Talk TGW, what’s on trend right now, fashion no nos and Kelsey gives us her top 5 ways to wear Vests for both men and woman.

We met Kelsey through a mutual friend last year and after she wrote a lovely write-up on dirty fresh laundry for leading menswear blog Fashion Beans.

DFL: So Kelsey, TGW is now live and launched on 01/04/12 and looking great. You hand pick all your designers/garments specially for the shop, you’ve got a great eye for emerging brands, tell us how you do this and tell us all about TGW and what inspired you to set this up?
Kelsey: As I have a fashion background, a lot of my friends and family would come to me to help them with outfit ideas or general wardrobe help, I spent a lot of Saturdays scrawling the great British high street, for women it was no problem thanks to the diverse range of clothes out there for us, for men it was a different story. I found that in every high street store, mens clothing was terribly repetitive. I did my research and found that there were so many mens brands available at high street prices that weren’t reaching the mass audience, this is when TGW was born.

As for emerging brands, I am fortunate that the audience I am dressing aren’t overly conscious when it comes to following trends from the catwalk. They want to look good in the latest styles, the brands that I stock on the website are simple designs with an interesting concept behind them. Like you guys here at DFL, you design simple quality t-shirts with a brilliant wash label symbol theme which runs throughout the brand, your t-shirts caught my eye immediately.

DFL: As we have just launched our first series of mens and Womens vests, Kelsey can you give us your top suggestions on how men & women should be wearing vests this summer, this may seem like a silly question but recently the ‘Rave’ vest has reared its ugly head into mainstream nightlife and although this is nothing new, here at DFL HQ we have everybody’s best intentions at heart, so naturally we want you to look your stylish best….. (not like you have just walked in off the beach while standing at the bar in your local boozer).

DFL: Kelsey, any pet hates or absolute No, No’s when it comes to wearing vests?

Kelsey: My pet hate, is when either men or women show too much flesh! If you choose to wear denim shorts or in a mans case short shorts, don’t opt for a drop armhole and low neckline. Another big no no, would be to wear an oversized vest with any trousers with a drop crotch, you don’t want to look like you’re playing dress up in the BFG’s wardrobe.

Kelsey: TOP 5 ways to wear your vest this summer

Womans:
1. Graphic vests look great under bold coloured blazers, which could be teamed with skinny jeans or denim shorts and black opaque tights.
2. Over sized vests can look great with a bandeau dress underneath and a pair of slouchy ankle boots for a cool festival/Ibiza look.
3. Cropped vests look incredible with floaty maxi skirts.
4 Flared jeans are coming back with a bang, wear them with a fitted patterned vest and accessorize with a brown weaved belt.
5. For a boho look wear a cropped vest with over sized harem trousers.

Mens:
1. Dropped armhole vest with low necks look great with bold coloured chinos with rolled up ankles.
2. Chino shorts are a great alternative to chino’s themselves, wear them with paisley printed retro inspired vest and flossys.
3. Harem joggers/ trousers look great with a slightly tighter fitting vest, opt for slogan styles for a real casual look.
4. Photographic printed vests have become huge, they’re a great way to wear a vest for a more dressed up event, team it with dark denim slim fit jeans and a burgundy blazer.
5. Accessorise your vests with neckerchiefs and bow ties, they’re a great way to jazz up a simple vest.

Today number 2, of our 5 days of 5, we speak with Ibiza2012.net‘s Russell Meakin, and with this rubbish weather no where near over what better day to talk about the sunny place we all love.. Ibiza.

DFL: So Russell great catching up with you, we worked on a few bits briefly last year when you was running  Ibiza2011.info. You have made the big decision to relocate to ibiza this summer, so things seem to be going from strength to strength! Can you tell us why you decided to relocate and what plans you have for the summer?
RM: Well, I’d like to say it was business-related, but I’m moving out there as I love the island so much and a holiday just wouldn’t cut it this year. It’s a lot easier to get the information I need when being there in person too. Plans for the summer for me is a lot of partying and sunbathing. For the website it’s keeping the huge clubbing calendar up-to-date, keeping up with the news and making the site as useful as possible without making it confusing.

DFL: Sounds like a great decision, why not! You have interviewed a number of artists and major clubbing brands we can imagine you use your press pass to full effect when it comes to getting back stage.. Has this ever back fired & have you ever been thrown out of any where or blagged your way into a top event?

RM: Yeah, I had issues getting into an Ushuaia event last summer – I was on the press-list but that meant nothing to the bouncers on the door. Arguing with 4-5 massive bouncers isn’t fun haha. Highlights have also been at Ushuaia, backstage at the Radio 1 event in August and on the stage for a Moby set at Ushuaia. I’m sure after a season in Ibiza if you asked me that question again I’ll be reeling out all the parties I’ve managed to blag haha!

DFL: Dont worry we will be catching up with you when we touchdon in ibiza and again after your season for all the News! So being one of the guys that breaks news, is there anything in the rumour mills that you can tell us? anything that hasn’t been confirmed but looks likely to happen?
RM: There’s so many rumours I can’t even keep up! A lot of the stuff isn’t officially announced by the clubs until early season, but promoters and artists often let slip earlier. I was first to announce ASOT (Armin Van Buurens ‘a state of trance’) at Privilege, Judgement Sundays at Eden, Radio 1 weekend and plenty more on the site. I think the biggest rumours are surrounding what Swedish House Mafia are up to this summer and around the new Ibiza 123 Festival.

DFL: Jamie Jones has launched a nite at circo loco this year, this came about after some cheeky booking tactics, with the popularity of the deep house scene this night is guaranteed success… can you tell us what your top 5 club nights your most looking forward to?
RM: I’m a bit of a trance-nut so my top 5 will include a lot of trance nights, however I’m going to be giving everything a go this year. The best nights are often the most un-expected!

My top5 nights in ibiza for 2012:

1. A State of Trance
2. Judgement Sundays
3. Cream Ibiza
4. Paradise at DC10
5. Sankeys nights – there’s too many to list but this club’s got a lot on this year!

Today Stathis Joins us, but first things first its his birthday! Many happy returns sir!
Stathis is resident DJ for the infamous Rhythmatic warehouse parties, lets a gay lizard roam about in his back garden and spends a considerable amount of time in dark places playing loud music. What does your wife have to say about all of this???

Stathis: Well,she is not happy with my homosexual pet dragon (he is not a gay lizard),because he eats the birds that come in our garden plus he poops a lot (don’t get me started on his boyfriend!!!).Other than that,she is very happy for me to spend considerable amount of time in dark places with young girls all around me,as long as I wear my head camera and also the electric shock device with the switch she has at her disposal at home,while monitoring who comes near me through the camera!!!!

DFL: Haha thanks for clearing that up we did wonder! Stathis your no ordinary guy and behind the decks an absolute monster! In fact we are pretty surprised the Hoxton basement wasnt shaken to its foundations the last time you played.

Stathis :Indeed there was no shaking foundations on Hoxton basement last time because I specifically ask for the building plans of the venues I am performing and I make sure I don’t put my followers on any health risk,whilst elevating them with my amazing music.
Sometimes, we have to reenforce the ceiling with 20 inch steel rods prior to my performance!!!!

DFL: A true Gentleman, always having the peoples best interest at heart! Stathis tell us what your looking forward to this summer?

Stathis: First of all, i am looking forward to spending 8 weeks under the beloved Greek sun on the Island of Mykonos. I am also looking forward to my residency at Cavo Paradiso, one of the biggest clubs on the planet. Although this comes with a high price,i will not be able to see my family for most of the summer : (

DFL: It looks like your head camera will be put to full use all summer long too, You ‘ve played with some of the biggest players in the game, can you tell us any memorable moments?

Stathis :Warming up for John Digweed in 2001 was a great time in my career, it was the time when he did his marathon 12 hour set and still keeps the record for longest set at the club (Cavo Paradiso),the atmosphere was electric!! Also,playing alongside Marco (Carola) in 2010 for the Rhythmatic 3 year anniversary was a great moment. Too many to think of really, with Laurent Garnier and Carl Cox was also great, then there’s the Tenaglia & myself party in Naples…….you made me remember the past now and I am starting to realise my age again,next question pleeeeease!!!!!!

DFL: Some pretty fun times there regardless of your year miles! Music wise what are you hiding in your locker? any releases we should know about?

Stathis: I have been producing music since 1999, that’s when I finished my course as a sound engineer at SAE London.I had a run with my own labels for a few years plus I had a couple of noticeable releases with Azuli records and Steve Lawler’s old Harlem imprint….at the moment I am working with Alex Celler on a few tracks (very deep and lovely stuff) plus I recently started a collaboration with Archie Hamilton,a Rhythmatic resident and owner of Moscow records.

I really enjoy my time in the studio without currently having the need to release the tracks just to say that I have a release out there,the situation with the digital download sites is getting ridiculous, there is not quality control and you have to go through 2000 releases to find something decent out there…If a label comes and appreciates what we do and believes in our sound,then you will be the first to know,in the meantime,i am happy to play our tracks out there exclusively and soak in the reaction from the crowd : )

DFL: We totally agree with you the music downloads is now so diluted and at the last count we think it was around 20k releases on a major site per week, things are saturated luckily for us DJ’s like yourself are still plugin away and keeping it underground where only the true and loyal remain. Your music selection ticks every box for us we have witnessed some great sets, can you give us any predictions on future hits … what are your top tracks right now?
